Chris has his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from UBC. He is a also a certified NSCA Personal Trainer. Chris’ passion for fitness began with high school athletics and a love for basketball. Following injury and knee pain he turned to weight training as a way to rehabilitate from injury and improve his performance in sport. This led Chris to appreciate the progression and challenge that comes with weight training. Along the way, Chris was able to vastly improve his athletic ability, and entirely eliminate his knee pain.
While pursuing his Bachelors of Kinesiology, Chris took up power-lifting as a hobby, which he has maintained since. More recently, he’s begun to dabble in bodybuilding, parkour, and martial arts, to further explore the movement potential of the human body.
Chris became a personal trainer through a passion for helping others discover how they can use fitness to achieve their own personal goals and improve their lives. In 2017 Chris is returning to school expand his knowledge further and receive his Masters in Physiotherapy.
Outside of his life in the gym, Chris is a huge music fan, often attending shows around Vancouver, he also plays bass in his spare time.
