John Tai has practiced Massage Therapy since 1997. He has a particular
interest in pain management, mental health, sports and rehabilitation
John has travelled the world spending time practicing Yoga and meditation in India and Thailand as well as learning hydrotherapy in the spas of Switzerland. He had taught yoga and fitness to orphans in the Dominican Republic and to street kids in Lima during a cycling tour through South America.
He worked in Edmonton’s Alberta and Royal Alex Hospitals for 4 years in the Epilepsy and Seizure monitoring units with both adult and children. Currently, he is a part-time Technologist in the Vancouver General Hospital Neuromuscular Disease Unit.
John had been active in competitive sports as a teenager and the outdoors throughout adulthood. He is certified with the American College of Sports Medicine, has coaching certifications in various sports, as well as training in Pilates, Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) and Crossfit. He is active in the OCR circuit; he completed multiple Spartan Ultra-beasts and 55 miles in the World’s Toughest Mudder.
